4-10-11 Book Signing

So for those who have been following me on twitter, you probably know yesterday was the big book signing with Carolyn and Bradford for the Spin book. I'm going to try and recap as best I can but everything is so jumbled up in my head because I was just SO excited...on cloud nine totally!

So Tom Stacey from SOD was moderating a question and answer. One of the questions that were asked to CH and BA was which story in the book do they like the most. They had a lot to say about the Luke & Tracey story because it has this love story but also adventure. Carolyn also talked about how she had to do a lot of research about GH history for the book. There isn't talk of a sequel yet but depending on how this book goes over..if it's popular..there might be. Carolyn said she'd be all for it because there were some characters she didn't get to touch upon in the book (like the kids for example) She also said she likes the Kate Howard story as well.

Tom Stacey asked Bradford what would the book be like if it was The Secret Life of Diane Miller. And Carolyn just sat back and looked at him. She wanted to see what he said and Bradford said that it would entail the "adventures" of Diane and Max. We all knew what that meant. And the entire room was laughing. That was SO funny! And Carolyn made a comment about how these adventures were electronic.

Oh and Tom Stacey asked Bradford about Port Chuck and how he has time for everything and Carolyn was like how she wants to be the tamborine girl. And then every time she brings it up to Steve Burton, he playfully smacks her. LOL!!

I know I'm missing some stuff but I can't really recall any of the other questions.

The signing was amazing. The turn out was SO good. And I loved every minute of it. And for those who had been following my tweets throughout the weekend, I did remember my name and I didn't make an ass out of myself (or at least I hope I didn't..LOL)

I was sitting in the second row and there was no one in front of me so I had a direct view of Carolyn and her of me. She waved and smiled a few times during the Q&A. And after the Q&A, we started lining up to get our books signed. Carolyn had a worker from Barnes & Noble next to her, moving the line along. But when I got up to her, she looked to the guy and was like "she's okay" and she stood up and hugged me. It was so amazing. I had also written her a long note but I knew she wouldn't have time to read it there and I knew it would make her cry so I told her to read it later. And then she wasn't really allowed to personalize the book but in mine she wrore "Erika! Much love, Carolyn Hennesy" and she looked at me and was like "don't show anyone this book" It was so funny. She then slid my book over to Bradford and as she did, she grabbed my hand and held onto it for a good couple of minutes. Then when I got to Bradford, he recognized me from Boston events & fan club weekend and he was like "hey..how are you doing?"

It was SUCH an amazing day. For those who go to Fan Club Weekend know the craziness that ensues so this was nice and even though there was a good 90 plus people there, it was one of the best soap related thing I've been to.
